Sad Dad Diaries reflects on modern parenthood in an effort to make the most of the moments in which work, life, and family might seem overwhelming. We live in a world that provides answers. We Google solutions to our curiosities and get hit with more information than we know what to do with. This weekly newsletter doesn't have answers; instead, it looks at the chaos of these modern demands with candor, encouragement, and enthusiasm. It focuses on the process, the takeaways we can pick up on if we step back every once in a while, breathe a little. After all, we don't always know how to be a good parent. We're just trying our best, one lesson at a time.

The Sad Dad Diaries is written by Adam Shaw, an author, dad, beer league hockey player, and Big Buck Hunter aficionado based out of Louisville, Kentucky. Adam holds an MFA in fiction writing from Concordia University, St. Paul, and his short fiction and essays on relationships, masculinity, and fatherhood have appeared in The Good Men Project, Across the Margin, Taco Bell Quarterly, and elsewhere. His debut novel, The Jackals, was released in early 2022. Adam can be found on his blog at theshawspot.com and on Instagram and Twitter at @adamshaw502.
